The Women's National Basketball Association All-Star Game is a yearly exhibition basketball game that features the top players in the Western and Eastern Conferences. This game is televised in the United States and is viewed by millions of fans each year. This is one of the most popular sporting events around the globe and is a must-see event for all basketball fans.

Sylvia Fowles

Sylvia Fowles received an honorary selection at the WNBA All Star Game. Her final season in the league is underway and she is averaging 14.9 point, 9.2 rebound, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per match. Her team is the Minnesota Lynx and are currently on the road to the playoffs, with a record of 8-15.

Fowles was a former LSU standout and dunk on a breakaway chance in the second half. Fowles was able to press Team Stewart's ball-handler for a turnover and then stole the ball and slammed it in. Team Wilson finished the game with seven point and nine rebounds.

Sue Bird

Sue Bird, a Chicago Bulls guard, has been named the co-captain of the WNBA All-Star team. Breanna Stewart (also a Chicago Bulls guard) has been named co-captain of the WNBA All-Star team. The game will take place at Wintrust Arena, Chicago on Sunday, July 10. The broadcast will be carried on ABC.

Sue Bird was selected for the eighth All-Star Game and Sylvia Fowles, the 13th All-Star Game. Fowles brokeaway dunk during the opening half of the game and got the crowd excited. Sue Bird, Fowles and a standing ovation were given to them after the game.

Arike Olubowale

Arike Ogunbowale, a two-time NCAA champion, has earned her first WNBA All-Star selection. She was named the league's leading scorer last season and is now eighth in points per game for the Dallas Wings. She is expected to play an important role in Team USA's preparations at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The WNBA All-Star Game will be held in Chicago July 9-10. The Saturday night event has special events added by the WNBA. This includes a skills competition, and a three person contest. Ogunbowale wants to be a part in the next All-Star game. Team USA won the previous All-Star match.

Kelsey Plum

In her debut WNBA All Star Game, Aces guard Kelsey Plum scored 30 points against Team Stewart. Despite her small stature, Plum was named the WNBA All Star Game's MVP. However, her MVP trophy was dwarfed in comparison to the All-Star MVP trophy of NBA's Kobe Bryant. Cathy Engelbert, WNBA commissioner brought some humor to this event and presented Plum a new trophy at the end of the game.

Plum claimed she was trying to win the MVP award. During the game, she made 12 field goals and took 18 shots, setting an All-Star record. She is currently averaging 19.9 points per game. She is not only participating in the WNBA All Star Game but also represents the United States in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics 3x3 basketball competition.

Arike Ogunbowale receives the MVP award

Arike Ogunbowale, the MVP of WNBA's all-star game, was also a winner. The Dallas guard was a Notre Dame basketball player. She was the fifth overall pick at the WNBA draft. Vanessa Bryant was her mother and a huge fan of the player. Her family voted her in, so this is an extra special award.

The 2021 WNBA WNBA All-Star game witnessed many changes, but it is still an all-star tournament. Ogunbowale won MVP honors as the only WNBA player to do so, defeating Team USA by 93-85. Ogunbowale was also named as a reserve for 2022 WNBA All Star Game. The game will be played in Chicago and will air on ABC.
