Lavelle is a Cincinnati-born midfielder
Rose Lavelle, a Cincinnati-based soccer player. She started playing soccer as a child in the YMCA youth coed leagues. When she scored her first goal, she didn't smile or celebrate, but instead kept her cool and played the game on. Later she was a soccer player for several local clubs, including Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club. She also played college football at the University of Wisconsin.
Lavelle grew into a Cincinnati native and attended Mount Notre Dame High School. Later she received a scholarship at the University of Wisconsin. Today, she plays for the Washington Spirit in the NWSL. Neil Bradford, a Cincinnati Soccer trainer has been instrumental in Lavelle discovering her passion for soccer.

Lavelle has played for the United States women’s team at the senior and youth levels. She was named the Big Ten's top midfielder in November 2015. NSCAA awarded her the first-team all American honor. Lavelle played in the USL W-League for both the Dayton Dutch Lions and Seattle Sounders Women's teams in 2014. Lavelle joined Washington Spirit after graduating college. She returned to Dayton after graduation for the 2016 Women's Premier Soccer League.
She played for Wisconsin
Rose Lavelle was named Big Ten Midfielder Of The Year in December 2015. Rose Lavelle was also chosen to the U.S. Women's National Team. However, she didn't make it on the game-day team. At that point, her frustration started to grow. She felt she wasn't making enough progress and was not in the right shape to face the demands of being a national team player. Through a meeting she had with Coach Wilkins, she was finally able to make progress.
Rose Lavelle has been a part of many community service programs at the university, while playing soccer for Badgers. She is a key participant in Wish Upon a Badger Experience. She has also been the brand ambassador for Yuengling's premium light beer FLIGHT.
She was a key player in the U.S. Women's National Team
Rose Lavelle was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. When she was only 15 years old, Rose Lavelle became a crucial member of U.S. Women's National Team. She recently played in the Czech Republic at the SheBelieves Cup. Although the USWNT won the game 0-0 they outshot their opponents by 18-6. Rose Lavelle won the Budweiser Woman's Choice Award.

Lavelle was hurt in a friendly against Australia in June 2017. However, she was able to return to the USWNT in time for the final match. She displayed great creativity throughout the tournament and was highly praised by her teammates and coaches as a breakout performer.
Lavelle has been to the World Cup for the United States. She played against Thailand in her World Cup debut, but she sat out against Chile. Later, she was back against Sweden to assist the United States in their attacks.
