She has a USSF Pro coaching licensure
Jill Ellis, a USSF Pro-Coaching Licence holder, has been a professional coach for over twenty years. As a young girl, Ellis played soccer for Robinson Secondary School, Fairfax, Virginia. She later went on to win the state championship and the Under-21 Championship with her local team, the Braddock Road Bluebelles. She played college soccer at William and Mary University and was a All-American. Ellis won accolades for her coaching work, even though she was only 20 years old when she played.
Ellis has extensive experience as a coach and in sports management. Ellis has held many leadership positions, including that of the Development Director of the United States Soccer Federation. She was also an assistant coach for U.S. women’s national team, and coached women's youth soccer teams. Ellis was made interim head coach of senior women's national team in 2012. Ellis was an interim coach in two matches during 2014, and holds a USSF Pro coaching license.
