Horan's college and high school careers have taken her around the world. In 2012, she was a player for Colorado Rush in the W-League. Her goals were two and her shots were 19 respectively. She signed a six-figure deal with Paris Saint-Germain FC, France later. Since then, she has been a forward for PSG.

USWNT's midfielder, Horan, has agreed to sign a loan deal with Olympique Lyon until June 2023. This will allow him to join the club for the 2019 season. Horan will join Catarina macario, USWNT teammate at the club. Both players were part of the Lyon squad last season and will continue to play for the team.
