Morgan Brian is still in high demand despite her outstanding performance at the Olympics. Ali Krieger, however, has fallen out favor. The last player to be told she made the squad, she was out injured for two years. One question mark is the goalkeeper. Ellis has so far used three different goalkeepers. We will soon find out. The other four names on the roster are still unknown.
Tierna Davidson
As the youngest player on the USWNT World Cup roster, Tierna Davidson is a great pick for this summer's tournament. The Chicago Red Stars' first-round draft pick was a centerback with a playmaker's mentality. Davidson was drafted by Chicago Red Stars in 2017. He won the 2017 national championship with Stanford. After playing 90 minutes for the USWNT in 2018, Davidson is now in full training.

Ali Krieger
Ali Krieger, defender for the U.S. Women's National Team, has been named in the roster for the 2019 World Cup. The 26-year-old has been awarded three international caps and was the team's best defense in 2015. The U.S. WNT's defensive line kept its opponents to three goals per game in 2015 Krieger participated in five consecutive shutouts during the World Cup. This included the second round of the group stage and the semifinal match. 2011 saw Krieger score two game-winning penalty shots against Brazil and help the U.S. WNT get to the final against Japan. She was there for 600 minutes.
Carli Lloyd
It's not surprising that Carli Lloyd is on USWNT's world cup roster. The 39-year old American soccer legend is a true American icon. She is currently America's highest-scoring player and oldest player. The USWNT reached the final of three consecutive World Cups thanks to her goals and assists. This includes the 2015 tournament, which was held in France. However, her career is far from over.
Tierna Mewis
Mewis, who won her first U.S. women’s team cap in 2014 has made 47 appearances for Team USA. She has scored nine goals. Mewis also served as an alternative for the 2016 Olympic squad. Although Mewis is young, she is a very talented player. She's an excellent choice as a USWNT midfielder, and her skills and experience will be invaluable to the team as it prepares for the World Cup.
Casey Short
It's not the most glamorous of jobs in women’s soccer, but Casey Short remains one of the most important USWNT players. After all, she's already earned more money than most professional women's soccer players, and her contribution to the team has been essential. As fellow player Christen Press put it, "I'm very proud of Casey."

Chelsea O'Hara
Chelsea O'Hara was once a winger. However, she is now a talented fullback in the USWNT. O'Hara has played in 115 matches for the USWNT, from U-16s to the senior team since 2004. She has also scored 37 goals in the national team. O'Hara only played two minutes for the Utah Royals FC this season. O'Hara has World Cup experience and was an important player in the team's 2015 title win.
