Kang has been suffering from back pain for several months due to the cancerous growth that was found in her spine. She is currently undergoing extensive testing and waiting for the results to determine if the tumor has spread. She has already withdrew from the Palos Verde Championship and the Lotte Championship. However, she is not sure what her tournament plans look like. She's scheduled to have further tests next week.

Although Danielle Kang is not yet at the top of the world golf rankings, she has made significant strides in her career. The 24-year old lives in Las Vegas, with Maverick McNealy as her boyfriend and Butch Harmon as her coach. This is a good sign for the Major Championship first-time entrant.
