As a sign of anti-racism, you can kneel.

Many in soccer are questioning the significance of the recent controversy about taking the knee. Some people have praised this movement while others believe it's politically motivated. The protests were supported largely by the UEFA or soccer federations. They want to present soccer as a progressive, inclusive, and inclusive sport. But, it seems like the movement has become more about self promotion than actual action against racism.

England: The kneeling position

The protest of English football players has sparked a political storm. Conservative politicians attacked the practice, claiming that it was a political statement that does not show opposition to racism. Black Lives Matter supporters say it's a way to show their support. Boris Johnson, Prime Minister, said that the gesture should not be banned as long people can freely express their views.

Hungary: Take the knee

Some Hungarian supporters have also booed the team. Although it is unclear why the players chose to protest in this manner, Hungarian fans responded strongly to the protest.

Colombians are taught to kneel

The protesters in Colombia are not the only ones taking a knee. They were calling attention to the fact that they did not receive any support from the team, almost all of whom are Black. Instead of showing solidarity the players are posting anodyne messages to social media.
