Horan played in a NWSL for the Colorado Rush before she became an international professional player. In 2018, she was named NWSL MVP. She has been a USWNT member since 2012, scoring 25 goals and providing 34 assists. She was a player in France, before she moved to the United States. Now she plays for Colorado.

Lindsey Horan began playing soccer at an early age. Colorado Rush Youth Soccer Club invited her to join their U12 Nike Team. Linda Horan, Linda's mother and assistant coach, encouraged her to take up the sport. From there, her competitive journey began. After playing for Colorado Rush club soccer, she turned her attention to the United States Women's National Team. She made 108 USWNT appearances, scoring 25 goals, and providing assistance for 34 other times.

Horan's college and high school careers have taken her around the world. She was a 2012 player for the Colorado Rush in W-League. She scored two goals while shooting 19 shots. Later, she signed a six-figure agreement with Paris Saint-Germain FC. She was a forward at PSG since then.

Lindsey Horan was named the 2018 NWSL MVP. She is a Portland Thorns FC midfielder. The NWSL's best XI was also named for the midfielder who scored 13 goals in 22 starts. She was also the league's leader in touches, duels and aerial duels won.

Horan joined Portland Thorns FC on June 16, 2016, and has been instrumental in the team’s rise to the NWSL champion. She was the winner against North Carolina Courage, and was recently selected to the USWNT World Cup qualifying team. She has had 56 international appearances, scoring six goals. When she was just eighteen years old, Lindsey Horan decided to turn pro and join Paris Saint-Germain. This shockwave shook the soccer world. Horan was already an accomplished player and had originally committed to playing at the University of North Carolina. She decided to stay in France, where she could make a name in professional soccer.

Horan, who was still playing with her youth team, had a crush of Messi, one USWNT's most popular players. Horan's youth team coach called her after a family trip in Spain and offered her the opportunity to try for the French club. Horan and her entire family left college for a brief period and moved to France to train with this team. Horan did not make any official appearances for the team in order to preserve her NCAA eligibility.

She will be joining Olympique Lyonnais, a French side, on loan until June 2023

USWNT midfielder Horan has signed a loan agreement with Olympique Lyonnais, France until June 2023. He will be joining the club for the 2019-season. Horan will be joining USWNT teammate Catarina Macario at the club. Both players were part of the Lyon squad last season and will continue to play for the team.

Horan's history in Europe is no surprise. She played previously in France with Paris Saint-Germain between 2012 and 2016. Recently, she won the Women's World Cup Lyon. She has now signed a contract extension at Thorns FC. It will allow her to stay in the USA until 2025.
