The Chicago Sky are an American women's basketball team based in Chicago. The team is a member the Women's National Basketball Association and competes at the Eastern Conference. The franchise was founded prior to the 2006 season. It was initially known as The Chicago Mercury. But, it is now more well-known than the Chicago Sky.

The Chicago Sky's vibrant fan base celebrates the team and strives for improvement in the city. Thousands of Sky supporters turned out to celebrate the team's 2015 WNBA championship. The parade shut down downtown and took over Chicago Park. This was a wonderful way to foster community spirit and was a heartwarming community celebration.
