She was also the ESPNW Soccer Players of the Year. After graduating UVA, she was entered into the NWSL draft. In the semifinals of 2016's NWSL Championship, she scored her first pro goal against Western New York Flash. She received her first senior-level cap from the U.S. in 2016 and was an alternate for the Rio Olympics.
Canada's energy
The Canada team was full of energy during the match against the U.S. The match ended tied at the half-time with 1-0 between the two countries. Canada's energy level was high throughout the first half of the match and continued to be lively as the game progressed. While the United States had more energy at the bench, Canada showed great determination and set the pace.
