Sue Bird is a 12-time All-Star

Seattle Storm guard Sue Bird has been selected to start the 2022 WNBA All-Star game. Bird is a career assists leader and a four-time WNBA champion. She holds a record of ten years, one less than Tamikacatchings's 11. The other WNBA All-Stars selected for the game were Seattle Storm teammates Breanna Stewart and A'ja Wilson, both of whom were selected as co-captains. After the 2022 seasons, Sue Bird will be leaving the league.

The WNBA Draft is a fast-paced, exciting event that is quickly forgotten about by players. A player plays for their college team for a year or two, declares for the draft, and is on a professional roster before the title game is forgotten entirely. Sue Bird was the first pick in 2002's draft. She was a three-time All-American player at UConn. She also won the Wade Trophy and was named College Player of the year. She is a basketball coach

Suzanne Bird is an American professional basketball athlete. She currently plays in the Women's National Basketball Association with the Seattle Storm. Bird was drafted as the first overall pick in 2002's WNBA draft. Her accomplishments as a player have led many to consider her one of the greatest players in WNBA history. Vanderbilt, Connecticut, Stanford, and Stanford all recruited Sue Bird. Although she considered Stanford and Vanderbilt her top choices, she was worried about Connecticut's competitive landscape. After weighing her options, she chose UConn for its close proximity to her home and winning tradition. Bird won four World Championships with the team. She also won the WNBA’s Player of Year award twice. She has made the most of the sport's international stage, though.
