Her impressive stat line is not surprising, as she leads the league with 19.6 points per game. In fact, she is tied for the league lead in assists with Alyssa Thomas. In her first appearance in the WNBA All-Star game, Plum earned MVP honors and set a record by hitting 12 threes.
Parker's injury history
DeVante Parker was the 14th overall draft pick by the Miami Dolphins in his rookie season. After injuring the foot in a practice, Parker was forced to miss the first half. Parker was hospitalized for the repair of his foot and missed seven more games. He was a chronically injured player, which became a major problem at the beginning of his NFL career. Parker injured his left foot in a surgical procedure and was forced to miss three games in the offseason.
Standings of WNBA
It's never too late to start looking at the WNBA standings. Six teams are included in the playoffs that begin on August 17th. The Chicago Sky, and the Las Vegas Aces are already guaranteed the first two seeds. The Sun, Mystics, Dream and Dream remain in the running to win the fourth or fifth seeds. In addition, a number of other teams are in the mix, including the New York Liberty, Dallas Wings, and Los Angeles Sparks.
Ionescu's triple-double
Triple-double by Ionescu was a landmark for the WNBA. In the 116 to 98 victory over Las Vegas Aces, she scored 31 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and gave out 10 assists. Her triple-double is remarkable on its own but the fact that she did not turn the ball over only makes it more impressive. Ionescu is first to record a WNBA triple-double, which is a significant achievement for the league.
