Alyssa Moutz quits the league
Alyssa Mautz announced Tuesday her retirement from the NWSL, saying that it was time for her to move on. The Chicago Red Stars midfielder was a veteran of the league since 2003. She announced her retirement just before Wednesday's match. This move is expected to fill a void in the league that has had difficulty with transfers in recent seasons. Alyssa Mautz finished her 10-year league career as the league's highest scorer with sixteen goals, eight assists and a total of 16 goals.
