Alyssa is one of America's brightest young players. She possesses the technical control and pace to beat defenders in one-on-one duels. Tracey Kelly, the US women’s national team's coach, was able to recognize her talent. Kevins recalled Thompson, 13 years ago, while she was scouting a club near Los Angeles. In that game, she came across a forward who was "brave" and "resilient" on the field. Thompson is currently a member on the US women’s national team.
Tobin Heath
Tobin Heath is a forward who has recently been selected to the US women's soccer team roster. She is a standout player who has played for the North Carolina Tar Heels and the United States national team. Heath has been called "perhaps the USA's most talented player" by the United States Soccer Federation. She was named Athlete of the Year in 2016 by US Soccer.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo is a controversial figure within the women's soccer community, leaving behind a complicated legacy. One of the best goalkeepers ever, she's made 202 appearances for the U.S. team, and holds a record of 152 clean sheets. However, Solo has also been known for her outspoken opinions, and her controversial character has been one of the biggest talking points in the sport.
Tobin Naeher
The United States women's soccer team is in the final stages of their World Cup qualification campaign. Tobin Nasser was a surprise pick, but she's been a valuable member of this team. She was a part of every minute of their game, and she made four saves in France's 2-1 win. Naeher also made an important penalty kick save in the semifinals, stopping Steph Houghton's attempt.

Tiffany McLeod
The Canadian women's soccer team was involved in a controversy over referee Christiana Persen's bias. Pedersen gave a penalty to the United States for holding the ball within the penalty area in the 80th minute. Pedersen (a former World Cup referee) was not immediately available for comment.
Megan Rapinoe
Megan Rapinoe, a steady presence for the United States' women's national soccer team for more than 10 years. She is an outstanding forward on and off the pitch. Rapinoe was raised in Redding, California where she played volleyball with her older brother and twin sister. Rapinoe, who scored two goals for the United States at the 2012 World Cup, and another one in 2015, has been a huge success in recent times.
