Allyson Felix, who won a silver medal in the women’s 4x400 meter final, broke Carl Lewis' record and became the most decorated American track & field athlete. Allyson Felix is an American track and field athlete. From 2003 to 2013, her main focus was on the 200m sprint. However, she later switched to 400 meters sprint in later stages of her career. She competed in both the 100m and the 4x100 meter and 4x400m relays.

Her daughter

Camryn Felix, Allyson's daughter was born seven weeks earlier than expected on November 28, 2018. Camryn, weighing in at just under three pounds and eight-ounces, spent about one month in the neonatal intensive treatment unit (NICU). She is doing well. Since then, her husband has been advocating for better maternal health and maternity protections in athlete contract contracts.

Her struggle with maternity-leave

Olympic gymnast Allyson Felix recently discussed her struggle with maternity leave in an interview with FOS at the Title IX anniversary summit. The Olympic champion is leading an initiative to ensure the availability of child care at the U.S. Championships, partnering with sponsor Athleta and nonprofit &Mother. Parents will have the option to provide child care for their athletes through the new program.
