Jenni Hernandezo's brilliant shot was able to level the score in the nineth minute. Second half saw a leveling of physicality, with Spain failing numerous penalties and yellow card conversions. Megan Rapinoe used the opportunity to flag Spain for a soft foul in the 76th minute. In the final 15 minutes, America's physical fitness was evident.
La Roja's performance against America
La Roja's performance in the match against the United States was eye-opening. The U.S. WNT was unbeaten in eight competitive matches and had never conceded a goal. They outscored their opponents 44-0. Despite the United States' excellent goal-scoring record the Spaniards seem stronger. They are a dangerous team, and can put pressure on the inexperienced U.S. goalkeeper and back line. La Roja has been disappointed by the two previous goals they scored, both of them by Megan Rapinoe.

Their formation against South Africa
Spain began their match against South Africa with a 4-3-3 formation. Spain's wide attackers occupied the half-spaces and created space for their fullbacks. South Africa had little chance to counterattack as the midfield was compact. The attacking midfielders of Spain were primarily responsible for the goals, with the exception of a few good efforts from Amanda Mthandi and Kgatlana.

Red change jerseys against Argentina were last worn by the Springboks in 2017. They also wore one with blue in September 2017 against Ireland, wearing a replica their first ever rugby jersey. Asics sponsored the red away jersey. The Springboks were able to wear all the South African colours, as was the Blitzboks. In the Sevens series, they wore green, white, and black.
Their performance against Sweden
Sweden beat Germany 2-1 to reach the quarter-finals of 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. Sweden won the quarter-final and will now face France, Germany or France in the final at Wembley. The Swedish team used its athleticism to defeat Germany's backline and won the game with their goal in the 48th. Sweden won the European Championships 1984 on penalties.

Their knockout round match against Germany
The Spaniards have been playing in outstanding form since Alexia Putellas's injuries in the previous game. Germany won their last match and has been a strong force throughout the tournament. The hosts are in good shape and will be trying to get into the knockout round. Germany, however has lost MarieAntoinette Katzoto to injury and France have struggled to find their feet during this tournament.
